Integral Blinds
Remotely Operated
The W Smart system with ScreenLine® inside is a battery operated, motorised blind system that is ideal for retrofitting because it does not need to be hard-wired to the mains. With this system, a Venetian or pleated blind encapsulated within a double-glazed unit is raised, lowered and tilted using an intuitive control device attached to the window. Simply touch the LED illuminated arrows to control the blind. For additional convenience, an optional 99-channel remote control device is also available.

Battery Powered
The system is powered by long-life rechargeable batteries which maintain their charge through its built-in battery charger. Simply connect W Smart’s micro-USB cable to a mains charger every 1-3 months to keep the batteries at peak level. For windows and doors on elevations subjected to bright, regular sunlight, a solar panel charging unit can also be paired to W Smart, allowing battery power to be topped-up by the sun.

W Smart is particularly suitable for rooms featuring a single window or door or a handful of double glazed units, such as a set of French doors. If your project features 1-4 double glazed units, W Smart could be the ideal choice to meet shading and privacy needs, and it is suitable for both residential and commercial environments.
The latest in innovative and stylish Italian design, the W Smart can be encapsulated within double or triple glazed units featuring a 20, 22 or 27mm cavity. All the wiring is contained within the W Smart integral blind unit, which means there is no need to appoint an electrician to install the system, and no need to disrupt surrounding walls and décor.

Safety First
Window blind cords and chains can prove a risk for babies, children and other vulnerable people who could injure or even strangle themselves on the hanging looped cords. The potential problem is eliminated by the use of Integral Blinds, as the blind is inside the double-glazed unit, so effectively away from any misuse or danger. In our corded systems we use an external continuous cord loop that is held permanently against the glass, eliminating any chance of the cord hanging in a loose loop which could be dangerous.
Our cords confirm to EN13120 for cord safety and we are a member of the Make it Safe campaign, a campaign from the British Blind and Shutter Association (BBSA) to promote window blind safety in all homes, public buildings and other environments where babies and young children may be present.
